Owners and engineers
What performance has been measured?
+40% at 28 days in a 50% slag field pour; +16% to +31% across lab blends; 159% at 8 hours in a precast mix.
Where can 80% SCM go?
Foundations, interior slabs, tilt-up and mass pours are candidates. Deicer-exposed F3 concrete stays at 50% slag under ACI 318.
How low is the carbon?
The equal-strength M30 model reaches about 117 kg CO₂e/m³ of binder at 80% slag with Trident, 65% below a standard 80/20 mix. It is an estimate, not an EPD.
Concrete producers
Does it change batching or placement?
No. Trident is a liquid dosed at the end of the batch cycle through the existing admixture line. Placement, finishing and curing stay the same.
What is the dosage?
0.6–1.2 L/m³, approximately 15–31 fl oz/yd³. The published M30 series uses 1.2 L/m³.
Will it work with our admixture package?
We review the cement, SCM and admixture package before a plant trial, then compare control and Trident cylinders in your lab.
Validation and safety
How is it validated?
A 30–60 day pilot uses your mix, your materials and your lab. We then model cost and carbon on your prices.
Is it safe to handle?
Trident is a liquid, so it is not aerosolized during batching. About 7 g of nanotubes per m³ are bound in the cement.
What is the regulatory status?
ASTM C494 Type S interim certification was completed August 11, 2026; six-month results are complete and 12-month breaks are pending. NTPEP and IDOT remain in review.
