Fly Ash Substitution Trial
A North American ready-mix producer trialed Trident alongside a 5% reduction in total cement and fly ash content, using Type F fly ash — the test of whether Trident could compensate for reduced cementitious content while still delivering strength gains.
| Mix | 7-day PSI | 28-day PSI | Cementitious |
|---|---|---|---|
| Control DCA 6 | 4,130 | 5,280 | Baseline |
| Trident DCA 6 @ 4.78 oz/cwt | 4,550 | 6,260 | −5% |
+420 PSI
7-day strength gain vs. control
+980 PSI
28-day strength gain vs. control
Strength increased even with less total cement and fly ash in the mix.
−5%
Total cementitious reduction
Strength gains while reducing total cementitious content — cost and carbon savings without compromising structural performance.
8-Hour Strength Development
A North American precast producer tested Trident against their control on Mix 201. The question: could Trident shorten their stripping time and enable more mold turns per day?
| Age | Control PSI | Trident PSI | Δ |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 hours | 1,077 | 2,786 | +1,709 |
| 10 hours | 1,693 | 3,510 | +1,817 |
| 12 hours | 2,245 | 4,142 | +1,897 |
| 24 hours | 3,728 | 5,563 | +1,835 |
| 7 days | 6,284 | 8,120 | +1,836 |
| 14 days | 7,192 | 9,041 | +1,849 |
| 28 days | 7,843 | 9,798 | +1,955 |
159% gain
8-hour strength improvement
Trident pushed 8-hour PSI from 1,077 to 2,786, opening the path to faster stripping.
+1,709 PSI
8-hour gain vs. control
