Where Trident works

One dose. Four jobs.

One liquid dose across ready-mix, precast, high-SCM, and infrastructure — with a clear path for owners, GCs, and engineers who want it written into the spec.

Pick your segment below — each section shows the result, the number behind it, and what a pilot looks like.

Four places producers use Trident — and one track for specifiers

Cards jump you to your section. Same reading order in every one: who, problem, what changes, proof, what it means, your next step.

1Producer application

Ready-mix

1Who this is for

QC and technical services managers who own mix designs and the cement bill.

2The problem you carry

You've squeezed what you can out of the mix. Every point of SCM past ~20–30% costs you strength or schedule, and a failed pour is your liability, not the owner's. So you overdesign with cement and eat the cost.

3What Trident changes

Trident converts more of the cement you already have into strength-bearing hydrate, and activates the SCM alongside it. How it works. The same mix comes back stronger — so you can pull cement out, push SCM up, or both.

5What it means for you

  • Remove ~110 lb/yd³ of cement at constant strengthlower binder cost on every yd³, no change to trucks, plant, or admixture dispensing.
  • Or hold cement and jump a strength classbid work your current mix can't reach.
  • Or take it as SCM replacementmargin and the carbon number your customers are starting to ask for.
  • Workability and set within ASTM C494 Type S requirementsthe mix you already run stays in spec (Material TEC interim certification, Aug 2026).

6Your pilot

Send us your mix design and admixture package (we check compatibility first — see below). We ship trial quantity; you batch one control and one Trident set in your own lab; breaks at 1/7/28 days. 30–60 days, no capex.

2Producer application

Precast / Prestressed

1Who this is for

Plant managers and production engineers whose throughput is set by strip time.

2The problem you carry

Cycle time is the business. To strip early you either heat, add cement, or accept one turn a day. All three cost money, and the cement route raises your carbon number.

3What Trident changes

Trident accelerates early hydration without an accelerator's downside on ultimate strength — early strength goes up, and 28-day still climbs. How it works.

5What it means for you

  • 2.5× the 8-hour strengthstrip on the shift you pour, not the next morning.
  • More turns per bed per daycapacity without a new bed or a new building.
  • No heated curing needed to hit strip strengthenergy cost and cracking risk both drop.
  • 28-day strength rises tooprestress transfer earlier, or open the mix to higher SCM without losing the early number.

6Your pilot

Pick one product line and one bed. We dose alongside your current admixtures; you run your normal strip-strength test at your normal hour. If the number clears, you've already proven the schedule gain.

3Producer application

High-SCM / Green-spec

1Who this is for

Sustainability leads and technical managers answering Buy Clean, EPD, and owner embodied-carbon targets.

2The problem you carry

The carbon math wants 50% replacement. The strength curve says 30–40% is the wall. Past it, 1-day strength collapses and 28-day slides, so you spec around it and miss the carbon target.

3What Trident changes

Trident inverts the penalty. In our slag series the 50/50 mix finished level with the 70/30 mix once Trident was in it — the ceiling moves with the replacement level instead of against it. How it works.

50% slag + Trident ≈ 46% lower embodied carbon and ≈ $25/yd³ lower binder cost vs. a high-cement silica-fume system (EPD-based; Buzzi and SCA EPDs). EPD analysis.

5What it means for you

  • Hit 50% replacement and raise 28-day strengththe carbon target and the strength spec stop competing.
  • 1-day strength at 50% slag (4,279 PSI) above the 30%-slag control (3,466 PSI)the early-age objection to high SCM goes away.
  • ~18% lower materials cost at 50% replacement, net of Tridentthe green mix becomes the cheapest mix.
  • Documentation for EPD and Buy Clean submittalsmix-specific EPD support, test reports, and the C494 Type S interim cert.

4Producer application

DOT / Infrastructure

1Who this is for

Producers bidding agency work and DOT materials engineers evaluating a new admixture.

2The problem you carry

A product without a QPL listing can't go on the job no matter what the cylinders say, and the qualification path is slow and state-by-state.

3What Trident changes

Trident is on the path. We carry the documentation so the producer doesn't have to build it. Full compliance status.

5Specify Trident

For owners, GCs, and engineers

Write performance into the bid — then choose whether schedule or cost is the primary lever.

Producers don't push SCM past ~40% because they carry the risk of a failed pour. When the owner writes the outcome into the spec, the producer stops being the gatekeeper and becomes the channel. Spec the result — 7-day strength, or 50% slag at the 28-day number — and the plant will dose for it.

Track

Optimize for schedule

Reach 28-day design strength at 7 days (at 1,200 g/m³) — pull pours forward without redesigning the mix or adding cement. In the slag series, every blend's 7-day with Trident exceeded its own control's 28-day (e.g. 50/50: 5,627 PSI at 7 vs. 5,366 PSI control at 28).

What you write
f′c at 7 days, demonstrated by trial batch at 1,200 g/m³.
What the producer does
Doses Trident into the mix they already run. No redesign, no extra cement.
What you get
Pours pulled forward — formwork, occupancy, and follow-on trades move with the 7-day break.

Sample spec clause

Concrete shall achieve the specified 28-day compressive strength (f′c) at 7 days, as demonstrated by trial batch at 1,200 g/m³ Trident F-01, tested in accordance with ASTM C39.

Draft language for review with counsel and the engineer of record — not a specification.

Track

Optimize for cost

Keep the same schedule with far less cement — or push slag replacement up to 50% while holding strength targets. Removing ~110 lb/yd³ of cement at constant strength is the cost lever; 50% slag is the carbon lever — both land on every yd³.

What you write
Specified 28-day strength at not less than 50% slag replacement, demonstrated by trial batch with Trident.
What the producer does
Opens the mix to the replacement level the carbon spec actually wants, with Trident holding the strength curve.
What you get
Lower binder cost and the Buy Clean / EPD number — without trading away schedule.

Sample spec clause

Concrete shall achieve the specified 28-day compressive strength (f′c) at not less than 50% slag (GGBS) replacement of portland cement, as demonstrated by trial batch with Trident F-01, tested in accordance with ASTM C39.

Draft language for review with counsel and the engineer of record — not a specification.
